He was first graduate of Princeton University. He had a summer home in Georgetown, South Carolina, until 1822, when a tidal wave washed away all the family, servants, and buildings. Moses Cohen, the grandfather of Dr. Levy Myers, came to America in 1710 as the first Jewish priest in the country. His daughter, Esther, married Mordecai Myers and was the mother of Dr. Levy Myers.
