Margaret Pearce an annuity charged upon whole estate known as Poplar Neck in sd. county except such parts as devised to Anna Maria Pearce, widow of Henry Ward Pearce. Also house where they lived adjoining lot formerly occupied by Joseph Hague, since by Thomas Penington. To grandsons Henry and William Pearce, subject to above annuity all lands and real estate in Cecil Co. aforesaid. To nephews Mereus and Henry Capella, land in Morrison Co. Virginia, purchased of Joshia Jacson of Wilmington. Exec. not to rent out his estate, as he expects son Matthew Pearce to reside there. Residue of estate to son Matthew Pearce and dau. Mary Levy. Born in Cecil County, Maryland in 1756, Mary Pearce married Judge Moses Levy, son of Samson Levy and Martha Lampley Levy, in Philadelphia in 1791. That city, in which they occupied the highest strata of elite Episcopalian society, would remain home for them and for their daughters Henrietta and Martha. [5]
